Henry Goldbeck
Henry Goldbeck was born and raised in Vancouver BC a very long time ago. He left home at 16 to join the merchant marines and pursue the ghost of Joseph Conrad. He subsequently became a Yoga teacher and sannyasi , aka Swami Ramakrishnananda, teaching Hatha and other yoga disciplines in New York city, London, Paris, Vienna and other locations in North America, Europe and India. During this time he was a student of comparative religions, a proponent of the universality of all religions and spiritual practices, and the primacy of individual spiritual experience.
After a stint as a senior marketing representative with Context Trainings, Henry became an executive recruiter in Vancouver and in 1997 he founded Goldbeck Recruiting Inc a successful recruiting firm specializing in Sales, Marketing, Construction and Manufacturing management positions.
He first visited Haven in 1986 for a Come Alive and in 1987 attended Phase 1 where he met his wife, Denise Goldbeck, the founder and leader of Dance and Games for Kids/Kids in the Spotlight. They live in Port Moody, a suburb of Vancouver, with their 2 sons, 2 miniature dachshunds and a backyard full of birds and squirrels.
