For core faculty members, Ernie and Cathy McNally, the Haven Communication model has been a life-changing influence. In this program, they explore ways to use it effectively and to develop self-awareness and enhance your personal and work relationships. They also introduce a wide range of other ideas and activities that complement and enrich the model.

 

The program is for anyone who:

  • Wants to deepen intimacy
  • Struggles in discussing difficult issues
  • Is looking for greater understanding of family dynamics
  • Wants to improve their work environment and productivity
  • Is coming to The Haven for the first time and wants to learn the communication model
  • Is training at The Haven and wants to strengthen their facilitation skills
  • Wants greater understanding and clarity in both casual and focused conversations
  • Is interested in discovering the nature and impact of objectification in personal relationships
  • Wants greater self-awareness, particularly of habits/ triggers and their sources

Sep 27 - 30 Register

 

Tuition: $600.00 (Accommodation and meals extra.)

 

Early Bird Tuition: $540.00 if you register and pay in full at least two weeks in advance.

 

Accommodation and Meals
The Haven offers a range of comfortable rooms and suites. All accommodation is designed to be shared by two or more people, though private rates are available. We make every effort to meet the needs of all our guests, but cannot guarantee specific rooms. Rates include three buffet-style meals per day.

 

There are three types of room: Basic, Forest view, and Ocean view.

When I think about communication, I think about the value that has come in my life from learning the communication model at The Haven. I also think about how the word communication gets tossed about so easily and yet do we really know what each other means when we say it? My experience of this program speaks to exploring meaning for myself and knowing more about others...in connection. I learned the communication model twelve years ago and I have seen it presented or presented it myself hundreds of times and yet there was more to discover for myself than imaginable.

The weekend had flow for me...it went so quickly and yet surprisingly everything slowed down. This program was packed full of opportunities for me to uncover new layers in awareness; from touching into my core values and how they limit and support me, how I disconnect and connect in conflicted conversations, how not speaking out loud what is in my head trips me up and how my multi layered feelings can cloud my ability to communicate effectively. I left enriched by this learning experience with some very actionable steps to apply to real-time conversations. I highly recommend this program for a first time to Haven person or a long time Haven learner.
