Coping skills for work, relationships & everyday life

Mary Helen and Ellery LittletonThe Survival Kit is a program that offers expert instruction in essential skills and techniques to help you cope more effectively with the physical and emotional stress of the busy life – including work, relationships and "the daily grind."

If you need a boost or a refresher to help you get going and find some better ways to deal with these challenges, the program offers you a place to start on a number of healing paths. Then it's up to you to take it to the next level by putting the new skills and awarenesses into practice.

Put some distance between your self and the debilitating habitual stress and tension the busy life so often creates. The benefits can be profound as you find yourself coping better and enjoying it more - life, that is!

The basic components of the program:

  • Yoga - stretch, breath and give your body and mind a relaxing workout
  • Meditation - open to awareness in a gentle and penetrating way
  • Intensive Journal Writing - a uniquely effective psychological self-care tool
  • The Zen Way - perspectives to help bring a sharper awareness (the most important coping skill of all) to the issues and concerns of daily life
  • Conscious Breathing & Visualization - key aspects of the healing path which are discussed and intimately integrated in all components of the program

The Survival Kit emphasizes direct learning and practice, not just theory. The weekend is designed to offer you a deeply relaxing and energizing experience, as well as a package of useful skills and ideas you can take home with you.

You created a real sense of safety, respect, delight even, for each person's creative voice. I loved the exercises and the variety of places they landed me up in myself, and I was amazed at the quantity and quality of the writing we produced as a group. You have created a wonderful space where people can explore their heartfelt truths.
